In sports, on Thursday Softball defeated Queen Anne's 7-6. Brynn Roman hits a walk off triple in the bottom of the eighth to cap off a stellar game and give the Clippers (7-5) the sixth win in their last seven games. Roman went 4 for 5 with two singles, a double, triple and two RBIs. Fallon Harvill pitched all eight innings for JMB, allowing just four hits and three walks while striking out five. Carly Mann and Emma Chandler each had a two-RBI single for the Clippers.
Baseball drops a game to Queen Anne's 7-9, bringing their record to 8-3.
Both Bennett Lacrosse teams face stiff competition at Kent Island HS. The boys lost 4-14, while the girls lost 5-18.
In sports, on Monday afternoon many of JMB's teams saw action. Baseball defeated Washington High 17-6, and Softball also defeated Washington 6-0. Girls Lacrosse also faced off against Wicomico and defeated them 19-3.
On Friday, senior softball player McKayla Williams signed her letter of intent on Friday to play softball for Division II Alderson Broaddus University in West Virginia. The Battlers are 12-30 so far this season.
On Wednesday Afternoon, many of our sports teams were in action. Softball defeated Pocomoke 11-1, moving to a 3-4 record. Carolyn Sidell had a perfect day at the plate from ,who went 4 for 4 (a double and 3 singles) with 4 RBIs. Baseball fell to Pocomoke, 3-5.
In sports yesterday, Softball defeated Snow Hill 5-4. Fallon Harvill pitched a complete game four-hitter to the give the Clippers their second-straight win. Brynn Roman had three hits and two RBIs for Bennett, with Hannah Dickson adding two hits. In Baseball, JMB defeated Snow Hill 12-2. Senior Joey Geary had two singles and threw seven strikeouts in five innings of work on the mound to help the Clippers move to 3-1. Bennett seniors Cade Rousseau and Charlie Kerrigan each had a double and a single.
On Friday Both Baseball and Softball beat Wihi. The Boys won 10-0, and the girls won 10-5. In Lacrosse, the Girls Beat North Caroline 16-7, bringing their record to 2-2. Gabby Hoisington led the Clippers with five goals and three assists. Dara Gregory had three goals and two assists. Boys Lacrosse also defeated North Caroline 8-2.
